This bat picture was created with techniques similiar to oil painting. I first airbrushed the basic shapes and dark colors. I then began adding lighter colors and details. Once I was happy with the anatomy of the bat I copied the layer several times. Next, I applied filters to the separate layers creating the desired textures for the bat drawing.
