Artist's biography and statement from 1997

My first job after college was with the advertising firm Brenmar Advertising. Ironically, I had never created a piece of graphic art up to then. It was an intense crash course in graphic design. In the 14 months I worked their, I achieved an in-depth understanding of the print and design industry. This job gave me the chance to began developing a good graphic design sense and get my hands into computer artwork.

With my computer skills becoming firm, it was the perfect time to start utilizing my fine art skills coupled with the computer. I began a long-term freelance job with the multimedia company, Digiquest Multimedia, in Orlando, FL. For eight full months, I created illustrations and animations for a GAIA, a CD-ROM multimedia encyclopedia. Literally hundreds of images were created for the encyclopedia. This opportunity gave me the intensity I needed to truly began developing my computer art skills.
